JP City Advisory Board

Main objectives

The main purpose of the “City Advisory Board” is to intensify knowledge exchange between the EERA JP on Smart Cities and their key-stakeholders, the cities. Being introduced as an important element of the JP´s organizational structure, the Board acts as a forum to express cities needs and to enable knowledge transfer with the overall goal to jointly accelerate and shape the smart cities transformation process.

Activities and Duties

The members of the City Advisory Board have been kindly asked to use all reasonable efforts to give input and feedback to the programme´s objectives and activities.The anticipated activities of the Board´s members have been categorized into the following two priority levels:

 

Priority Level 1 – requiring strong commitment:

  • Provision of “real cities needs” in urban transformation processes
  • Evaluation of the usability of newly developed tools, methods and concepts

 

Priority Level 2 - highly welcomed, but not mandatory:

  • Active participation in research activities of the JP
  • Potentially provide test‐beds for JP research/implementation activities
  • Facilitate access to city energy data
  • Actively interact with the other Board members
  • Help to inform other cities about the work of EERA JP Smart Cities
  • Enrich the discussion within the JP through high level thematic input
